Growing up in the small town of Blackfoot Idaho, I first became interested in cars when the midyear Corvettes came out in 1963. I remember distinctly the first day I saw one! They were so different from any other model in the way they looked. I fell in love with the beautiful lines of these amazing cars and longed to one day own one. Throughout the years, as I grew older and purchased my own vehicles, I was not able to afford a Corvette...but they were always in the back of my mind.
In my forties, I had the opportunity and was in the finanacial position to finally get my dream car, a 1966 big block Corvette convertible with side pipes. When I first saw it, I fell in love all over again and it has become my prized possession in my small stable of Corvettes. (I now have a 54, two 56's, a 66 and a 67). I have done body off restorations to two of my cars and will continue to work through them until I finish them all! I will never forget my first look at a Corvette in my small hometown and the love for this particular model that grew into more than just a hobby for me and my family. Our Corvette legacy will live on with us as none of my cars are for sale and will be handed down to each of my four daughters.
