Too many years ago, I set out for an evening drive from my home in Florida, to visit my then wife who was visiting a mutual friend in Auburn. The Z was my first 'sports' car and the first of two I was later to own. I didn't make the drive alone, as I had for company my beloved Irish Setter, who would accompany me whenever the opportunity presented itself. After having dinner in Tallahassee we continued our drive through rural Alabama. After a time we pulled off the country road for a bit of a break. It was a clear moonless night with no car traffic on the road, just a lonely farm house out in the distance. The countless stars that provided our cover, made for me one of the most beautiful and memorable nights to remember. The company of my dog, the destination in mind and the wonderful drive that the Z provided. I felt like I was the luckiest person in the world.
