Engine development muletto built on a 348 monocoque with special front and rear subframes, 355 suspension, 355 Challenge brakes, paddle shift transmission, 360 gauge cluster and 650bhp Enzo V12. Removable composite rear fenders, 348 style nose. Very rough and ready, as expected for an engineering development car. No warranties, should not be registered for road use.
Market commentary
One of the more unusual artifacts offered by Ferrari at this sale and the object of more than a little attention prior to the auction. A rare peek at the development process, and a good value to collectors who appreciate its rare insight. Even at 13% over the modest high estimate it is a sound value.
