Equipment
Ferrari Classiche certified.
Condition
Display car with phony steering wheel controls. Michael Schumacher's second season at Ferrari, driven by Schumacher only in practice for Spa, later driven by Eddie Irvine at Monza (8th) and Austria (dnf). Corse Clienti history a few years ago and in good, but not track ready, condition.
Market commentary
Sold by RM at Maranello in 2008 for $771,761, then offered at RM's auction at Sotheby's in New York last November with a high bid of $630,000. The seller booked a small loss, hopefully compensated by the thrill of driving the naturally-aspirated V-10's 730hp in some Clienti events. As the steering wheel's condition indicates, there is some F1 Clienti attention needed before it turns a wheel on a circuit, but that seems to be factored into the price it brought.
