Condition

Good, clean, lightly used car with excellent original paint. Upholstery lightly used and drivers seatback bolster scuffed. One of just 270 built, 14,857 km from new. Ferrari Classiche certified. Registered in Thailand (which probably beats the cost of registering it -- if it could be registered at all -- in the sellers domicile of Japan).

Market commentary

Offered by RM in London in October 2008 where it no-saled at GBP 325,000. The leash came off it here at the same hammer bid and it sold at 350,000 Euros, a reasonable price for a very nice 288 GTO with a clear history and limited miles. These exciting cars are only beginning to see their true rarity, performance and historic values reflected in the market.
