Market commentary
One of the best of the tiny twin turbocharged F1 cars of the mid Eighties even though Ferrari was a very distant second in the Constructors Championship in 84 to the overwhelming TAG McLarens. At the time these were marvels of technology; today they look quite simple and straightforward. Freshly prepared and historic race ready this 126 C4 might justify the estimate, or even the reported high bid, but its old restoration requires extensive re commissioning to be successfully campaigned, costs that are not contemplated in the amounts shown here.
