Equipment
Fulda tires, Alpine cassette stereo, air conditioning, console clock.
Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
Big touched up gouge on the front bumper and two other smaller scrapes. A few light scratches throughout the rest of the body. Very good original interior. Clean underneath. New clutch. Not flawless, but very good for its age and showing 19,401 believable miles.
Market commentary
RX7s have been cheap sports cars pretty much since the first used ones started changing hands. That fact combined with their unusual powertrains that can flummox a mechanic unfamiliar with rotary engines means that there aren't very many good, unmodified examples left even though almost half a million first generation cars were built. This good low-mileage California is about as good as it gets, and while the buyer paid a high premium for it, it was entirely justified given the scarcity of examples in such fine shape.
