Equipment
5-speed, alloy wheels, AM/FM cassette radio, Smiths instrumentation, trunk rack.
Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
Good paint with a minor scrape to the passenger's side fender. The passenger's door does not close completely. The top fits tightly and has very little wear. The engine compartment has had a high quality detail and the underbody has minimal oxidation. The interior is well sorted and only has minor stretching to the driver's seat. The wrapped steering wheel calls into question the condition of the wheel underneath. A reasonably well kept survivor that would be quite good if not for the fitment issue on the passenger's door.
Market commentary
Less than 3,000 genuine TR8s were made compared to over 100,000 TR7s, but the difference in value and performance doesn't translate as much to value as you might think. Sure, they're worth more, but all these cars are so cheap that for some it's worth the wait and few extra dollars for the 8. This was an appropriate result.
