Market commentary

When this car appeared at Auburn last Fall with 335 fewer miles we said, This must be the worlds most experienced auction Merak SS: RM Monterey 99 sold for $30,800; RM Phoenix 00 post block sold for $18,000; RM Amelia 01 sold for $18,700. The judgment of the auction block is that this is no more than an $18,000 automobile. It just needs a good home. So, $18,000 hammer and its declared sold; the good home part remains to be seen.
