Equipment
Chrome spoke Borranis, A C, Blaupunkt AM FM with stalk mounted controls, P W. Odometer shows 4,284 miles believed to be original. Cataloged as a superb, highly original example that, aside from a repaint in the original Rosso Corsa, remains completely unrestored. No Reserve.
Market commentary
In 1996 at Kruse Scottsdale this Dino was Reddish Orange (presumably Rosso Dino) with rust blooming in the door bottoms. There was no mention of the Borrani wires, suggesting it was riding on alloy wheels, nor of the then evident mileage. It sold for $53,900 then. Ferrari Market Letter has it advertised by European Auto in 1995 in Rosso Dino with 103,000 miles. Being a lot better car today than it was eleven years ago, it is probably today worth a Hundred Large. It is unlikely, however, to be highly original and it is not worth anything close to the jaw dropping price paid here. The buyer paid a huge premium for a car with a story ... and it is not a good one.
