Condition
Shown at the 1973 Paris Motor Show, the first production 308 GT4 and therefore the first V8 production Ferrari. Gorgeous paint, brightwork, wheels, and tires. Original glass showing age and light scratches. Good interior with nifty blue cloth inserts.
Market commentary
The 308 GT4 is among the more unloved Ferraris, but someone recognized the significance of this example and has treated it accordingly. The bidders treated it accordingly, too. If any car was going to be the most expensive 308 GT4 it would be this one, and at this price it's twice as expensive as the next highest sale for one of these Bertone wedges.
