Equipment

RHD. Chrome spoke wire wheels, blackwall tires. 1970 Earls Court show car, P S added later. Restored in 1982 to attractive driver condition with many miles since then. Fastidiously maintained, but neither fresh nor sharp. Good paint and interior, though.

Market commentary

Reported sold by Coys at Silverstone in August 1996 for $98,640 (GBP 65,300), about half the bid it attracted today. An appealing car, and a beautiful one, with the big 4.9 liter V 8 and ZF 5 speed transmission. Logically, it could have changed hands for the bid reported and still been no more than a sound value.
