Condition
#1 Concours
World-class. Could compete in the world’s best Concours d'Elegance events.
From the collection of Bill Warner, 49,375 miles, two owners from new. Originally equipped with the 3-speed automatic, it had the 4.7 Maserati engine replaced with a Chevy V-8 by a Florida owner before making it to Bill Warner, who had a correct Maserati engine and ZF 5-speed put in during restoration. Eventually, the original engine found its way back to the car. Excellent paint, chrome and interior. Really a fantastic car. The only thing that would make it more desirable is if it were a 4.9-liter SS.
Market commentary
That's quite a history, but selling Bill Warner's Ghibli on Amelia Island Concours weekend was a brilliant marketing move that brought a superior price, very nearly the highest ever for a 4.7 Liter Ghibli Spider, even if it is only a quarter of what RM got this weekend for a Daytona Spider.
