Equipment

429 360hp, 4 speed, mag wheel covers, narrow whitewalls. Quick old paint, sound original interior, soiled and scuffed newer top, missing left door window seal, unrestored and pretty ugly chassis and underbody. One of 113 500XL convertibles with 429 360 and 4 speed and a great basis for restoration.

Market commentary

Sold for $8,500 at Mecums Indy sale in 2009, the buyer there must have gotten cold feet about the restoration and should be overjoyed to flip it here for this price. Having said that, the seller got something very unusual and should also be overjoyed. How much more will it be worth when its done right Probably not a lot, but theres great satisfaction in getting it done.
