Equipment
440 375hp Magnum, 4 speed, Super Track Pak, P front discs, heavy duty suspension, console, radio. Known history, restored in the mid 80s using NOS parts (that could still be found back then) and carefully preserved ever since. Headlight enclosures dont close flush. Chipped paint around right side hood and fenders and drivers door. Clean underneath. Good wheels. Nice interior looks orig and is really clean. Headliner job not great, some creases and sags. good chrome all around. Not fresh, but soundly presented and nothing to apologize about.
Market commentary
Its not surprising this 440 Charger Dayto didnt sell at the reported high bid but the seller doesnt have an ice cubes chance in the gin and tonic of getting anything close to the estimate range. The car isnt getting any better and, in case the consignor hasnt noticed, neither is the Mopar muscle market. It there was money at the high bid it should have been given very close consideration.
