Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

427 Big Block with single 4 bbl carb on Edelbrock intake manifold replaced origil smallblock Chevy in 1970 and is still in place. Crashed in 1st Can Am of 1970, killing driver Dick Brown. Rebuilt and raced to little effect by Tom Dutton. Freshly restored to better than new condition with excellent cosmetics.

Market commentary

Despite its high quality and fresh restoration, the bid seems like it should have been enough to buy the car. While Can Am cars from me teams or with me drivers (usually those a one in the same) can command much more money, a journeyman privateer M6B like this isnt high sought, except as an exhilirating historic weekend driver.
