Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

5 speed, A C, alloy wheels, P W. Decent paint, flat panels, even gaps, sound interior. Engine and front suspension rebuilt and stainless steel exhaust fitted in 2003. A C needs work. Looks very sinister in Black.

Market commentary

The Ghibli gives Daytona performance in a package that has much better looks for about 1 5 the price of a Daytona. Thats a bargain by any standard. This car was sold by Brooks at its Nnrburg sale in August 2000 for DM43,700, $20,262 at the time, pre engine rebuild. Coincidentally DM43,700 is exactly the same as the Euros 43,700 it brought today. The official DM Euro exchange is 1.95583:1, which isnt much of a change in eight years. With an engine rebuild in between this has been an expensive ownership experience.
