Equipment
A completely made up car with 390 V8 (instead of the original 289 195hp 2 barrel), 4 speed, side exhaust, Edelbrock nitrous system, P S, P B, P W, disc brakes, alloy wheels. Good paint. interior and chrome. Rust bubble under rear chrome. A typical Eleanor knock off, impressively built but intended only for a short term payoff.
Market commentary
Thursday Prime Time. Reported sold at the B J auction in Palm Beach last April for $81,000. Thats a drop in value of some 30% in nine months. So much for the sellers claim (in both Palm Beach and here) that this is a great car that should appreciate in value and become a good investment over the years. Fake Eleanors were all the rage a year ago. They are nothing now, and will be less next year. Pity the benighted believer who blew a half million bucks on the first Eleanor convertible (8T03C199460) at B J in Palm Beach two years ago.
