Equipment
1,778/115hp, 4-speed, dual SU carbs, power brakes, heater, cassette stereo, dash clock, hub caps.
Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
Paint is good. The bumpers are aged and oxidized and the grill is wavy but bright. There are dings on the trim. The engine was painted an incorrect Chevrolet orange, but is otherwise clean but used. Windshield has scratches from wipers. Sound original interior other than a cracked gauge lens and small tear in the driver's seat. Underbody is unrestored and aged. Owned and used on a budget, and given critical attention when it needed it. These cars are legendary for their longevity, so the 54,057 miles on the odometer mean it's barely broken in mechanically even if the cosmetics are less than great.
Market commentary
1800's have gained an appreciation in recent years for their combination of gorgeous looks and sturdy build quality. This one is far from the world's best, but is more than good enough to be proud of and enjoy for many trouble-free miles. The only Swedish car in Auburn, it brought an appropriate price that both buyer and seller can be satisfied with.
