Black side exhausts, rear nerf bar and front grille guard, outside filler, chrome paperclip rollbar, alloy wheels with Goodyear Eagle treaded race tires. Single overhead cam Ford V8 with single 4 bbl Holley acquired from Holman & Moody and installed during an extended restoration completed in the late 80s and now showing some age and a little use but with good overall condition and cosmetics. A free revving 427 sohc must make this a unique Cobra driving experience.
Market commentary
All you have to do is open the hood and gape. This is a marvelous motor and it has become a valued attribute of this car over the years, as correct as the many 427s dropped under similar hoods to replace the porky 428 that powered most 427 Cobras. Reported a post block sale at Barrett Jackson in 2002 at $195,000. In the interest of full disclosure it should be noted that I commented then, Not a great investment. Boy, was I wrong!
