Market commentary
Crossed the block at Mecum's Indianapolis auction three months ago with a reported high bid of $45,000. The bid here is getting closer, but still didn't reach the consignor's determined expectations. Determination may be good in many endeavors, but not necessarily at auction and it's time to recognize the comparable determination of the bidders who don't think this is a $50,000 GTO.
