Equipment
400/335hp, 4-speed, Firestone narrow whitewalls, power steering, power brakes, Safe-T-Track differential, power antenna, pushbutton radio, rear seat speakers, white vinyl boot cover, Hurst shifter.
Condition
Represented as a survivor. Showing 87,328 miles. Comes with manuals and copy of build sheet. Engine bay has been freshly detailed. It is very good and all original but also maintained. Original paint has light chips and scratches throughout. Significant crazing on the trunk lid. Very clean and shiny wheels. Top and interior are lightly discolored but nowhere near as bad as expected for their age and originality. Gauges and switchgear are all clean and clear. Steering wheel cap has a few small cracks in it. Uneven door gaps. Would definitely win a survivor award at any local car show. From a few steps away, you'd never even guess that this car was all original. It's almost not aged enough for the kind of people who really go for the patina look.
Market commentary
The new owner got two valuable things: an attractive, well equipped 4-speed GTO convertible and unusual preservation and care over nearly five decades. The price is appropriate for either of these things by themselves and the combination is highly attractive. A good value.
