Equipment
Fog lights, hub caps, Firestone tires, rear-mounted spare, later 2F engine.
Condition
A very early U.S. market soft top FJ reportedly sold by Toyota's first U.S. dealership. Restored but not spotless underneath. Very good paint. Excellent interior. No issues to pick on. It's all been done. A desirable early US market FJ in a rare body style. Prime for collectors other than its later replacement engine.
Market commentary
This FJ sold for $82,500 at Gooding Pebble Beach in 2015, but that was right in the middle of the days when the really good ones were bringing six-figure prices at auction. Things have come back down to earth a bit since then, and this result is a fair price despite the difference.
