Equipment
Woodrim steering wheel, chrome centerlock wire wheels, red line tires, cassette player, aluminum radiator.
Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
Panels are flat, gaps are even and properly blocked. Extensively color sanded and polished. There are some scratches in the chrome, and the rubber seals are worn and torn. Some sprayed over undercoating shows undercarriage as unrestored. Detail and painting under hood was well done. Interior is largely original and shows age. The driver's seat is heavily creased. A solid cosmetically restored driver.
Market commentary
This XKE really should have sold at the reported high bid. It's a coupe and as seductive as its Malcolm Sayer shape is it's not worth OTS money. Then there's the caliber of workmanship and the many areas left largely untouched. It is a decent car, but not a highly desirable one.
