Market commentary
Offered at Mecum's Dallas sale in September with a reported high bid of $17,000. Early Mustang convertibles like this are ideal starter collector cars, offering good value for the money, ready marketability, plentiful parts and an active club of owners. At this price, and particularly with this example's originality, the new owner can't go wrong even if the engine self-destructs on the way to the transporter.
