Market commentary
A '66 Mustang convertible like this with the A-Code engine and 4-speed might be the best and most conservative way to get into car collecting. Parts are readily available, there are supportive clubs with events and a liquid, active market. It's also important to buy the best car out there to avoid disappointments. Having said all of that, though, this Mustang isn't as valuable as its consignor thought and it should have been on its way to a new home at least $5,000 before reaching the reported high bid.
