Condition

Scuderia Filipinetti entry at Sebring 1967, Klass Muller (DNF), then severely toasted in its next race at the Nurburgring. Sold to Pierre Bardinon. Restored from the surviving pieces and an F2 engine by Corrado Cupellini in 1986. Sold to Bernie Carl in 1997 who found and installed a 206SP engine and gearbox. Little used since and now its condition is somewhere between just usable and showable.

Market commentary

No one has ever sold one of these at auction although RM has now tried twice, with 008, the best of the Dino 206 SPs, which no saled at $2 million in Monterey last August and now 026. The reported bid here is appropriate for this Dino 206 SPs history and its total of only two races both DNFs at that to its credit.
