Equipment
Chrome front and rear bumpers, chrome wire wheels, wind wings, hard top, rack and pinion. One lady owner from new, 38,762 miles, just emerged from long term storage and needs everything. Wire wheels heavily rusted, 1970s repaint chipped and dull, interior complete but worn, seating surfaces trimmed in heavy looking red leather. Hood catch handles missing. Rough and a long way from ready. No Reserve
Market commentary
This is huge money for a Cobra that requires a complete and expensive restoration and its likely that by the time it returns to the road it will be a 7 figure investment. It may be one of the later, desireable 289s with side vents and rack and pinion steering, but its originality, and even its charming story, hardly supports the price paid. This is one expensive Cobra.
