Equipment
RHD. Wire wheels, roll bar, 5 liter Tipo 151 4 V8, four wheel independent suspension. Maserati France 1965 Le Mans entry (Siffert Neerpasch, DNF second lap). Never raced competitively after that. Some UK history in historic events in the 70s. Acquired by Peter Kaus in 1978, apparently unused since and pretty aged, tired and neglected. Will need everything before it runs. Peter Kaus Rosso et Bianco collection.
Market commentary
More legendary than important, this is the last Maserati competition car of the Orsi era. Remarkably unsuccessful in its debut at Le Mans and no match for the Ford GTs, Ferrari P2s and Cobra Daytonas, but something completely different in modern historic racing where it will always get favorable attention. Updates to make it more competitive wont have much, if any, effect on its value. This is a lot of money, but also a lot of car, and the only one like it on the planet.
