Equipment
289/271hp, centerlock wire wheels, Michelin tires, AC woodrim steering wheel, Stewart Warner gauges, wind wings, sun visors, factory hardtop, luggage rack.
Condition
Represented as the original engine. Excellent paint and brightwork. The underbody and mechanicals show minimal use. The interior leather is reported to be original. The seats are distressed from age but not overly worn or cracked. A beautiful sympathetic restoration. Sold new in Illinois. Lightly crashed early on and apparently repossessed. Later color changed and stored from '73-'90. Fully restored in the 1990s to its present condition retaining the original upholstery, although the work looks much more recent. Reported to have had 21,000 miles in 1990 and now shows 26,195; still owned by its second owner (not including the bank.)
Market commentary
$800 probably isn't enough for a later ring & pinion Cobra with a largely clear history, but it's not far off. They have ceased to be 7-figure cars in the absence of important racing history.
