Equipment
Chrome wire wheels, blackwall tires, chrome braced paperclip rollbar. Paxton supercharger from a 57 Ford added in the early 80s. Fuel pressure and manifold pressure gauges. Competition style lap belts, wind wings, grille and deck guards. Excellent paint, chrome, interior. Restored like new with some subsequent use. Engine and blower recently rebuilt. Looks like new, but goes better.
Market commentary
Sold here in 1990 for $275,000, then by Christies in Del Mar, California in 1998 for $127,900. Its had extensive work since and been returned to its original appearance. At this price it is nothing if not a sound value in a quality rack and pinion 289 Cobra and an object lesson in the fluctuating values of Cobras in the last 20 years.
