Market commentary
The market for historic drag cars is very specialized, but also can be very healthy. Mecum gathered a selection of very high quality consignments what a treat it would have been to have put on a show on State Route 76 outside the Fairgrounds, a little grudge re match for old times sake and some of them brought serious money. The technical features of this Tempest are a wonderful example of the engineering input that Pontiac and other manufacturers provided for a brief, magic drag racing window. It is expensive, but also unique. Pity the poor European who tries to understand this price....
