Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Chrome spoke Borranis, blackwall tires, Blaupunkt multi band radio, ZF 5 speed, alternator. P B brake booster clamped precariously to right frame tube, Weber 42DCOE carbs. Decent paint, chrome and interior but otherwise old, unrestored, kluged up and neglected. Not reassuring to look at despite its history of tours.

Market commentary

This Maserati may not be in the greatest condition but for the money (which is entirely appropriate for its history, condition and the difference between Maseratis and their contemporaries from Mercedes or Ferrari) it is a real value for an astute and perceptive collector who appreciates quality, coachwork, handling and performance. It was bought right, but also was an intelligent acquisition.
