Equipment
841/42hp, 2-stroke engine, 4-speed, body color wheels, hub caps, whitewall tires, heater.
Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
Good paint. Windshield seal is old and cracked. The engine compartment is very clean and restored. The underbody has some road grime. The interior is orderly and only the steering wheel has noticeable wear. Cosmetically restored and in good driver condition, but inherently cool. No early history represented. The speedometer is in mph, but it's right-hand drive (Swedes drove on the left until 1967).
Market commentary
It's a shame Saab went under, because this is a perfect promo vehicle for a dealership. There are still lots of things you could do with it, though, and it would be a hit at any gathering of Swedish cars or just classic cars in general. Given the cool factor and the conversations it will start, it's a good value, especially since it was reported sold at RM in London eight years ago for $17,150.
