Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

A car Olds never built. 215 215hp Jetfire turbo aluminum V8, 4 speed, buckets, chrome roof rack, P S, 3 interior seat rows. Created by a Jetfire specialist this is one neat wagon. Freshly restored to original specs, good cosmetics, clean and like new. All correct (at least to the uninitiated like this observer) engine. A sweet and very weird station wagon. Early Saturday. No Reserve.

Market commentary

High performance stick shift wagons are an acquired taste. I still remember a 421 V8 4 speed 62 Pontiac in the Bridgehampton pits, and the 78 350 V8 4 speed Malibu wagon I once had as a company car. Funny, the job is almost a blur, but the Malibu is clear as a bell. The buyer of this creation has one very special ride, at the price a good buy for distinctiveness and performance and ready to blow kids 5.0 Mustangs into the weeds.
