Market commentary
Sold by RM in Monterey in 2002 for $6,490,000 but at the time that was Euros 6,632,800, a scosh more than the +6,200,000 high bid here. The consignor, who knows how to count in both dollars and Euros, decided that wasnt enough even though it translated into a bunch more of todays weak dollars (likely about breakeven after commissions and shipping) so it stays in circulation.
