Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Chrome Borranis, 6 Webers, dry sump. One of two similar Drogo (3405GT) re creations done by Terry Hoyle, this one originally in Gunmetal Grey. Very GTO ish and luxuriously appointed. Apparently high quality work throughout; both lighter and more powerful than a stock 250GT so performance should be impressive.

Market commentary

This bid is barely more than the wrecked Pf coupe from which this was created would be worth in comparable condition. Not that the bid is unreasonable, its just a matter of choices. The car itself is very swoopy; maybe it would sell better if its styling and rarity were emphasized and its fake Drogo ness minimized. As a custom body on a wrecked 250 GT chassis it has an inherent appeal; as a re creation of something its not it is a fake.
