Equipment
Est. 300bhp BOP aluminum V8, four Weber 45 DCOE carburetors, four speed Colotti T.37 transaxle, 8 spoke alloy wheels. The only Scarab rear engined GP car built, intended for the desmodromic valve four cylinder that never ran correctly and never run in GP events. Only one period race, 4th at the Sandown Park Gran Prix in Australia driven by Chuck Daigh. Restored to a high standard and demonstrated at recent events including 2001 Goodwood Festival.
Market commentary
This is a car with real potential, although not a lot of places to run. It has been on the market for years and if it found a long term home today at this price it is a good thing for collecting and for Scarab history.
