Equipment

LHD Sidevent TR59 60 style rebody in early 70s by Black Star Restoration in Kansas City. GT instruments, tall shift housing, solid rear axle, coil springs, chrome Borranis, small rollbar inside headrest, 4 point belts. 128 F engine stamped 690 62E, six 2 bbl Webers on claimed correct TR intake, 10mm cams. 5,000 miles on engine rebuilt in 89, 350hp+. Aluminum body with small tube framing said by owner to have been built alongside a real TR, construction appears very much like original. Well prepared with Aeroquip plumbing. Shows use, but also good care, basically sound.

Market commentary

A very nice TR replica that would be worth more if it were the pontoon style, but 25 years ago no one knew that, or probably cared. While this is still a fake, its a very well built and accurate fake, bought for a fair price by a dealer wholl flip it for a profit ... if he can beat back the vintage racing bug.
