Equipment

Chrome spoke Borranis, no bumpers. First of the 1961 Comp. series SWBs. Raced by Ferrari in early 61. Winner of Spa 500km (Mairesse), 5th at Nurburgring 1000km (Mairesse Baghetti), 2nd at Rouen (Mairesse) then sold to Col. Hoare and raced by Sopwiths Equipe Endeavour driven by Mike Parkes. Excellent history, well presented, largely original.

Market commentary

The buyer of this Ferrari apparently had been away from the phone and hadnt heard that the market for them had evaporated. How Christies got the bid $200K over the low estimate is a mystery.
