Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Looked good under the lights going over the block but the purported buyer better have looked closely. Awful paint with overspray everywhere including on trim chrome. Datsun Z wheels, filthy engine compartment, faulty door alignment, cracked fiberglass body, pitted chrome, ratty interior.

Market commentary

Last seen at The Auction in Las Vegas in 1998 in equally awful and squalid condition. This is a despicable rat and if someone paid $6,750 for it they should buy a white cane and apply for Social Security disability payments for impaired eyesight. The best Daimler SP 250 in the world is worth no more than $20,000, all fresh, spit shined and meticulously restored to better than new condition. The $13,250 left after this transaction will not even come close to starting to get this cockroach there. The buyer overpaid by a factor of six.
