Equipment
Fair cosmetics, runs OK. A tiny little coupe struggling to reconcile three conflicting demands: room for two people, a tiny engine and attractive packaging. It succeeds on the first two, but comes up short on the third. Cosmetically restored with recent mechanical work. Wide whitewalls, Nardi steering wheel.
Market commentary
The auction history of this car starts at Kruse in Arizona in 2002 where it sold for $8,800. It brought $9,720 at Russo and Steele in January 2005, but didnt sell at the Kruse Concorso Italiano auction in August. At Bonhams Quail Lodge auction last August it was a post block sale at $24,000. I called that a home run, which must make this one a bottom of the ninth, inside the park, bases loaded home run. An astounding result no matter what currency the seller used to count the profits.
