Equipment
Triple SU carbs, overdrive, chrome knock-off wire wheels, Michelin tires.
Condition
Very good but not phenomenal paint. Lightly worn interior. Excellent dash. Very good top. Very clean engine bay and undercarriage. Represented with 17,958 acutal miles and as a concours veteran with over 50 awards, including 100 point status in the Jaguar Club of North America. Documented ownership history. The restoration was done in the late 1990s and while not fresh, still shows very well.
Market commentary
Bonhams is making a specialty of selling XK150Ss in exceptional condition, having sold S830856DN at Scottsdale 2013 for $242,000 and backing that transaction up with T831532DN here, an equally fastidiously restored car but wearing its age a little more prominently. This is a Jaguar anyone should be proud to own, drive and appreciate.
