Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

4.9-liter Lampredi V12 rated 400 brake hp, 2,600 mm wheelbase, one of 12 Series III 410 Superamericas. Covered headlight coachwork with polished Borrani wire wheels, bright trimmed front fender vents and three vent C pillar.

Condition

Restored in 2007 with excellent paint, chrome and interior but now showing some paint flaws and scuffed trim. Chassis covered in undercoat and not done to high standards out of view. Somewhat disappointing restoration but a beautiful car. Has a known ownership history from new.

Market commentary

The Ferrari market is once again on a tear, as this transaction demonstrates. This was a $1.5 million car a year or so ago. In historic terms it is expensive in this transaction, but not in the context of the present Ferrari market.
