Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

4.9 liter Lampredi V12 rated 400 brake hp, 2,600 mm wheelbase, one of 12 Series III 410 Superamericas. Covered headlight coachwork with polished Borrani wire wheels, bright trimmed front fender vents and three vent C pillar. Restored in 2007 with excellent paint, chrome and interior but now showing some paint flaws and scuffed trim. Established history from new including Lime Rock Parks Jim Haynes and Hil Raab. Restored in 2007. Better than new condition without going overboard.

Market commentary

Choice design, superb performance and an outstanding restoration. A million dollar car if there ever was one, as it has been in the past but unfortunately most recently a $2,530,000 car at Worldwides Auburn auction in 2008 which puts a rather different light on its estimate and result here.
