Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

230hp 2.7 liter 911 RS engine with Webers, Porsche Type 901 5 speed, 911 suspension, 4 wheel disc brakes, Minilite style 15x6 wheels, hidden 300w stereo, roll cage, pullup windows. Built by Scott McPherson as an exercise in excess. Reinforced chassis to handle the power and cornering force. 1975 pounds and 230 hp is a recipe for excitement. Excellent cosmetics and built to the highest standards. No Reserve.

Market commentary

It is unlikely this will be welcomed in the 356 classes at the next PCA Track Day, and the 911 guys arent going to be very happy about its light weight and reinforced structure. Its safe to conclude that the builder succeeded in his quest to piss off the 356 judges. And leave them in the dust, too. Porsche Resto Mods are pretty rare and the bidders must have seen their chance. They paid a lot for it.
