Luggage rack, wood steering wheel, top and boot, knock off Dunlop polished alloy wheels. Fourth converted after the fire at Browns Lane. Successfully raced by Dr. Dick Thompson and David Causey. Winning at Marlboro, Maryland driven by Jim Robinson and Duncan Black then by the Flying Doctor to a fourth place finish behind Carroll Shelby, Walt Hansgen and Duncan Black at Virginia Intertiol Raceway. Later bought by David Causey and raced in SCCA C Modified in 1958 and 1959. Acquired by its third owner in 1960 and used sparingly until 1964 when it was stored until 1973. Featured in Supercar Classics in May 1989 and Sports Car Intertiol in February 1994. A no nonsense handsome older restoration showing some decent use since its restoration.

Persol opinion: The XK SS is as pretty and sexy as any automobile ever built. Theyre incredibly rare and worth every penny of the price paid here ... which might even be characterized as something of a bargain.
