Equipment
312/245hp, automatic, wheel covers, whitewalls, porthole hardtop, Town and Country radio, alternator, tinted windshield.
Condition
#4 Fair
Has visible flaws to the naked eye. Runs fine, but could use mechanical or cosmetic attention.
Originally ordered by an American diplomat in Venezuela, where the instruments were switched out for metric ones. Tired and lightly crazed but presentable paint. Rough but complete and maintained engine bay. The hardtop looks to have been repainted, but the headliner is original and tired. Good, lightly worn interior. Old tires. Paint is chipping off the wheels. This car must have stuck out like crazy in Maracaibo, and the metric instruments make for a neat distinguishing feature, but this is otherwise a tired old T-Bird that is ready for restoration.
Market commentary
A project car bought for project car money. The new owner is already into this car for a fairly low price, making the lengthy restoration in needs a bit less daunting, and when it's finished the metric instruments will make for a good conversation starter.
