Renumbered chassis believed to have been 0695GT, later onside plug engine 0951GT from 250 GT Pf Coupe. Repainted by Bacchelli & Villa, surface cracked original seats, new carpets, good door panels, later 15 chrome spoke wire wheels. A good, usable 250 GT but not the kind of car that goes into the core of important Ferrari collections.
Market commentary
The early Boano and Ellena 250 GTs are eligible for everything Ferraris. Although their values have lagged their acceptability in important events has caught the attention of astute collectors recently and resulted the in appreciation in value which this transaction shows. For a confused chassis number and later engined Ferrari this is a whole lot of money.
