Equipment
316/227hp, automatic, wire wheel covers, whitewalls, hood ornament, chrome fender skirts, boot cover, dash clock, pushbutton radio, dual mirrors, power steering, power brakes, power top, stainless skirts.
Condition
From the John Staluppi collection. Good, high quality older paint and chrome. Some wear on the hood trim. Imperfect panel gaps. Lightly worn seats but mostly good interior. Tidy underneath. The wheels and tires look a little older. A cool, seldom seen vintage Pontiac fair weather cruiser, and significantly better than an average driver.
Market commentary
This Star Chief sold at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2008 for $68,200 and at Palm Beach 2019 for $71,500. A modest price indicative of waning interest for big '50s cars in anything less but show quality condition but even "waning interest" doesn't make this anything other than a good value.
